The Uncle Tobys Scholarship
Supporting future leaders of the agricultural industry
The Uncle Tobys Scholarship, recognises and encourages agricultural excellence in the Riverine Plains region by supporting a local second year student in their studies.
The Inaugural Uncle Tobys Scholarship (2021) recipient was recently announced as Thomas Hatty, from Tocumwal, NSW.
The 2022 Scholarship will provide:
Following a recent review of the application process, the decision has been made to defer the opening of applications for the 2022 Uncle Tobys Scholarship until 1 April, 2022 (applications were previously expected to open during July, 2021).
Applications will be open for 6 weeks from 1 April – mid May, 2022 to current first year agriculture or agribusiness degree or diploma students, undertaking their second year of studies in 2022. Students must be studying full time and be an Australian permanent resident or citizen. Further information will be available from this page closer to this date.
The Scholarship was established to support future leaders of the agricultural industry, especially those in the local region. Students aged 18-30 from the Riverine Plains region of north eastern Victoria and the southern Riverina region of NSW will be eligible to apply.
Note: Both the Uncle Tobys and John Hanrahan Scholarships are being administered through the Riverine Plains Scholarship Fund.
