We are incredibly fortunate to have two keynote speakers at this year’s event:
- Nikki Davey; Co-Founder and CEO of Grown Not Flown and 2023 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award National Winner.
- Callan Daley; evokeAG Future Young Leader, Beef24 Next Gen committee member and Business Development Lead at MEQ Probe.

A little about our keynote speaker, Callan Daley.
Callan grew up in Central Queensland, 100km north-west of Longreach on a cattle station. He studied a dual degree of Engineering and Biotechnology for 18 months at the University of Queensland before taking six months off to help manage the workload on the family properties and reignite his passion for agriculture. Callan is dedicated to sharing the stories of the land and is a 2015 ABC Heywire winner and 2019 Heywire Mentor.
Callan attended EvokeAG 2019 as a Future Young Leader and shortly afterwards, began as a Field Technician for an AgTech start-up called MEQ Probe. Over 5 years Callan went from being the first employee to the Business Development Lead of a company with over 30 full-time staff. Callan is also a member of the Beef Australia Next Gen committee tasked with organising the Next Gen program for Beef Week 2024. This has all led to Callan being an extremely passionate advocate for rejuvenating rural and regional Australia by helping improve the language used within and around agriculture and influencing an increase in the pride we have for such a vibrant and versatile industry.
A little about our keynote speaker, Nikki Davey.
Nikki Davey, co-founder of Grown Not Flown and the 2023 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award National winner is a farmer first, founder second and envisions a future where small-scale farmers and producers take centre stage. With a background in change management, project & product management and operational excellence, Nikki holds both an MBA and a Master of Analytics Management from Melbourne Business School.
Based in Victoria, this rural tech entrepreneur has created a digital platform and app that seamlessly connects micro and small-scale farmers with consumers, globally. Grown Not Flown was initially created for the cut flower industry and recently expanded to include other types of producers. With users in 37 countries, it’s all about supporting local, no matter where in the world local is to you.
