The John Hanrahan Scholarship
Recognising and encouraging agricultural excellence in the Riverine Plains region
Please note that 2022 applications are now closed.
In 2018, Riverine Plains Inc. established the John Hanrahan Scholarship to recognise and encourage agricultural excellence in the Riverine Plains region.
The Scholarship is named in honour of John Hanrahan, a successful and experienced farmer and respected community member from Coreen, who passed away suddenly in 2014.
Through a generous donation made by the Hanrahan Family, Riverine Plains was able to establish the Scholarship to honour John’s passion for farming, his thirst for knowledge, and his sense of community.
The annual Scholarship aims to support a local second year student through their agriculture or agribusiness studies and is administered through the Riverine Plains Scholarship Fund. Now coming in to its fourth year, the John Hanrahan Scholarship has provided support to an alumni of talented students.
The 2022 Scholarship will provide:
The scholarships are available for first year students beginning their second year of a diploma or degree course in Agriculture, Agricultural Science or Agribusiness during 2023. The bursary will be paid in annual instalments over two years (2023, 2024).
