WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP?
Riverine Plains are generously funded through memberships, partners, sponsorships, grants and donations.
Community and corporate donations have been vital to the success of the Riverine Plains Scholarship Program and its impact on the lives of recipients. Donations can also be made to fund agricultural research that specifically benefits farmers in the Riverine Plains.
Riverine Plains Inc is a registered charity and since 2017 has been endorsed by the ATO as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) for an approved Research Institute and the Riverine Plains Scholarship Fund.
Riverine Plains charity and DGR status has enabled the organisation to establish both a Scholarship Fund and a Fund for agricultural research. Donations made to the Riverine Plains Research and/or Scholarship Fund are tax deductible.
The Riverine Plains Scholarship Fund was established to support tertiary students in their agriculture-related studies. Donations to the Scholarship Fund have so far enabled six different Scholarships to be established, with 14 individuals receiving scholarships since the program commenced with the John Hanrahan Scholarship in 2018.
The scholarships have been transformative for recipients, with the financial support, work experience and networking opportunities providing long-term benefits to students.
