Membership
Sharing ideas, leading research and providing quality information…
The Riverine Plains membership base extends across north eastern Victoria and southern NSW. We seek to provide our grain and mixed farming members, sponsors and industry with timely, relevant and practical information that suits their business needs.
Central to our philosophy of ‘Farmers inspiring Farmers’ is our annual events program, which includes, field and machinery days, paddock walks, seminars, discussion groups and study tours. Our events bring together farmers, researchers and industry experts to share ideas, seasonal information, research results, technical experience and business expertise. The research capacity of Riverine Plains Inc is widely recognised across the Australian grains industry and we partner with a range of leading research and extension organisations to carry out locally-relevant, farming systems projects.
Our extensive research program is rigorously managed by our project teams and is designed to deliver meaningful results that address the local challenges faced by our members. To view our current and past research please click here.
Riverine Plains Inc delivers information and research results in various formats to meet the changing needs of our members — from our annual trial book through to our bimonthly newsletters and seasonal grower bulletins, delivered on an as-needs basis throughout the growing season to support growers in managing seasonal conditions. Our in-house publications are available through our members only section, while other research and reports are available through our research page.
Riverine Plains Inc members enjoy a variety of benefits by becoming part of a large, social and diverse network of like-minded individuals and businesses. Members can also become more actively involved in the direction of the group by attending meetings and providing input into the group’s research and extension projects. In this way, members can help shape agricultural research and extension across north-east Victoria and southern New South Wales.
