Supporting the future of agriculture
Supporting the future of agriculture
Agriculture offers a myriad of rewarding and fulfilling career paths and Riverine Plains Inc would like congratulate students for choosing to enrol in an agriculture related tertiary field of study.
As a farmer driven and community focussed organisation operating since 1999, we recognise that starting out on a career pathway in agriculture can be helped by strong networks and an understanding of the current issues in your chosen industry.
For this reason, we would like to offer a free Student Membership to all students who are currently enrolled in a tertiary Agriculture or Agribusiness related degree or diploma course and have an interest in grain or mixed production systems.
The Riverine Plains Inc Student Membership is being offered to keep students up to date with key events of interest in the area, seasonal issues and information of interest to the grain and mixed farming communities. Riverine Plains Inc also provides a great forum to meet a broad cross section of famers, agribusiness representatives and researchers.
Membership is free and includes;
We also aim to support students through the recently established John Hanrahan Scholarship, which provides a bursary to a local second year Agriculture student to support their studies. Information about this scholarship, which will open to 2019 applicants mid-year, can also be found by clicking on the button at the top of this page.
As an independent farmer group dedicated to improving the productivity of broadacre farming systems in north-east Victoria and southern New South Wales, we believe that the future of agriculture depends upon research, innovation and quality information. We also believe that the current generation of students is vitally important to achieving these outcomes.
