NITROGEN STRATEGIES FOR RIVERINE PLAINS MEMBERS

What we'll cover
Join Tim Neale from DataFarming and Ed Scott from Field Systems as they discuss using data for strategic nitrogen decisions. with a focused session on variable rate technology (VRT) — including options for growers not yet set up for VRT.
We'll aim to answer questions such as:
- What data do we need to have to get started with variable rate nitrogen?
- What can we do if we don't have much data?
- The role of NDVI imagery in decision making
- How to create prescription maps
- Is it worth all the time? What is the return on investment?
Riverine Plains will demonstrate how to use the regional weather station network and soil moisture probe data (supported by the Victorian Drought Hub) to assess plant available water, track in-season conditions, and ground nitrogen decisions in realistic yield expectations. With a strong focus on practical execution, this webinar is designed to help growers turn tools and data into confident, workable decisions in the paddock.
