ROAD TESTED RESEARCH & FARM MAPPING INSIGHTS

Come along to discuss how the 2025 season went, share any key learnings from the year and how they can be applied for the 2026 season. We encourage growers to get there early, catch up with neighbours and hear about the work being undertaken by Riverine Plains.

What we'll cover

•    2025 Season discussion – challenges and learnings
•    Riverine Plains updates and upcoming work
•    2025 project results
•    Feedback session – an opportunity to let us know your thoughts on 2025 and what you would like to see from Riverine Plains in 2026!

Farm Mapping Insights

Tim Neale (Data Farming) and Edward Scott (Field Systems) will walk through the fundamentals of mapping your farm.  What does “good” looks like, what you actually need to get started, and how to build trust in your systems and data before you use them for decisions.

This session is for anyone operating machinery that collects data or anyone interpreting data on farm so please extend the invite to all staff and members of your farming operation.

We’ll cover the basics of setting up boundaries and paddocks, choosing and checking layers, and creating a simple, repeatable workflow you can use year after year. We’ll also unpack common pitfalls to be mindful of, including GPS drift, mismatched datums/projections, and why small errors can become big issues when you’re comparing seasons or lining up operations.

The session will finish with the “so what?”. The opportunities mapping can unlock, from sharper trial interpretation and better zone management to more targeted inputs, clearer paddock records, and stronger decision-making across the season. Bring your questions, and your laptop, this is built to be hands-on, grower-focused, and immediately useful.
