VARIABLE RATE TECHNOLOGY FIELD DAY

Join Riverine Plains for a practical field event showcasing current research and technology supporting more efficient, informed and sustainable farm management.

What we'll cover

The morning will begin with an introduction to the Innovative soil technologies trial site established this year, where we are trialling a number of soil amendments such as different forms of lime, gypsum and mechanical interventions. Participants will hear how this work is helping growers better understand soil constraints, improve input efficiency and make more targeted decisions across variable paddocks.

The event will also include:

  • a practical machinery safety session with Josh Ingham (Ingham & Co).

  • VRT adoption panel with Dave Hawkey (AgriSci), Jono Collins (Lilliput Ag), Alec Wiles (Ironstone Ag).

  • Variable rate spreading equipment

  • A live SwarmFarm demonstration

This event is suited to growers, agronomists, advisers and industry professionals interested in soil management, precision agriculture, machinery innovation and practical on-farm adoption.
