Drought Preparation Webinar Series: Part 2 Soils

Any soil test is a good test - testing to depth will pick up constraints limiting production. Understanding soil moisture will help manage production risk.

Riverine Plains recently hosted a soil health webinar as part of a project supported by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR), through funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund.

Kirsten Barlow, Principal Scientist at Precision Agriculture, spoke about healthy soils and how to come up with a plan for fixing constraints, while Nick Ennis, Regional Manager, Lawson Grains, spoke on the practicalities of managing soils in productive agriculture.
