Pip Grant announces departure from Riverine Plains
Pip Grant will finish up as CEO of Riverine Plains at the end of April, 2026. In this article, Pip shares her news with Members and the wider Riverine Plains community.
After two and a half years as CEO of Riverine Plains Inc., I will be stepping down on 29 April 2026 to commence as the Executive Director of AgriPark – Charles Sturt University's collaborative innovation hub based in Wagga Wagga.
Working with Riverine Plains members to understand their needs across research, innovation, training, and knowledge sharing has been very inspiring – and is what will continue to drive our team, day-to-day.
There are very few things more rewarding than hearing a farmer share a challenge and being able to bring their peers, researchers, tech companies, and advisors together to try and solve it – and if you can’t solve it, you usually have learnt a lot of other valuable lessons in the trying.
The organisation is in great shape. The team is experienced and remain focused on delivering positive impact for farm businesses and rural communities across the Riverine Plains.
I’m excited to see what comes next for Riverine Plains. With the team focused on training, navigating in-season challenges, and improving farm margins – I am sure they will continue to deliver what matter to members most.
Riverine Plains will also be farewelling Tasmin Rowe, our New Initiatives Manager, at the end of this week. Tas has worked closely with other farming systems group in NSW and nationally to be able to attract more investment and support for the common needs across different farming systems and geographies.
With a passion for agri-policy and farmer advocacy, Tas will be joining the NSW Farmers team as Senior Policy Manager (Socio-Economic).
Recruitment for the incoming CEO and a Senior Project Manager role is underway, and the Board and leadership team will ensure continuity across all programs and member services in the meantime.
Thank you for your support over the past two and a half years.
Pip Grant, CEO Riverine Plains Inc.
