Welcome to Research for the Riverine Plains, 2025!
The 2024 season was one to be remembered for its wet conditions, extended dry periods, frosts and more.
Despite the challenges, many crops yielded better than expected, and there was plenty of opportunity for learnings and new insights along the way. While our Research and Extension program field trials were also affected by the conditions, they still managed to deliver valuable results and insights for farmers - which is testament to the expertise of our project team. A huge thanks to all the farmers who hosted project trials in 2024, your support is invaluable to the work that Riverine Plains is continuing to deliver across the region.
With analysis of results and report writing now complete, we're excited to present the the results from our 2024 trials. This year's edition of Research for the Riverine Plains includes results from the slug survey, ryegrass management, crown rot and liming demonstration trials, as well as a selection of case studies and much more.
We trust there'll be information contained in the pages within that will be useful to your business over the coming seasons.
