The 2021 Evan Moll Gerogery Field Day

The Evan Moll Gerogery Field Day, 2022 – event cancelled

Please note that this field day has now been cancelled due to the wet weather, which has cut access to the trial sites.

The Evan Moll Gerogery Field Day will be held on Thursday 3 November at the Moll family property ‘Elderslie’, from 10am to 12:30pm.

This event has been hosted by the Moll family for well over 80 years and is a fantastic opportunity for farmers to view the local Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) National Variety Trials (NVT) wheat and canola trials.

The NVT tours provide an opportunity for farmers to see how current varieties are performing under current local conditions, as well as varieties showing future potential for the region.

Peter Matthews, NSW DPI, will lead the wheat NVT discussion and the canola NVT tour will be led by representatives from Pioneer Seeds, AGT and Pacific Seeds. David Gould (Seed Force) will also discuss nitrogen fixation in sub-clover.

The Field Day is well timed to address any agronomic issues for growers in the lead up to harvest.

Given the impact of the recent rains, the day will also provide an opportunity to discuss ways to prepare for and manage harvest, as well as help farmers connect with each other and the various support services in the region.

The Evan Moll Gerogery Field Day will be held from 10:00am – 12:30pm on Thursday 3 November, 2022 at the Moll family property, ‘Elderslie’, 167 Fielder-Moll Road, Gerogery.

A free BBQ lunch will be provided by Seed Force.
