Applications for UNCLE TOBYS Scholarship and John Hanrahan Scholarship close 30 September.
Current first year agriculture and agribusiness students from the Riverine Plains region are encouraged to apply for two scholarships, worth $5000 each, before applications close on 30 September, 2020.
Both the John Hanrahan Scholarship (now in its third year) and the inaugural UNCLE TOBYS Scholarship include a bursary of $5000, networking and mentoring opportunities as well as access to work placement opportunities.
Recognising and rewarding the efforts of local students with a promising future in agriculture is a key purpose of both Scholarships, and the bursaries will help relieve some financial pressures and allow recipients to better focus on their studies.
The John Hanrahan and UNCLE TOBYS Scholarships are both open to current first year agriculture or agribusiness degree or diploma students, who are entering their second year of studies in 2021.
Students aged between 18 and 30 from the Riverine Plains region of north eastern Victoria and the southern Riverina region of NSW are eligible to apply (students may apply for both Scholarships, but will only be eligible to receive one).
