
Riverine Plains Inc will host a Pulse Check meeting at Dookie on Friday 21 August from 9:30am-12:30pm, focussing on post-seeding issues.
The meeting will include two paddock visits, with the first visit to a chickpea paddock at Boxwood (the intersection of Tungamah-Boundary and Harmer Roads, Boxwood – with signs to direct on the day), along with an adjacent vetch and oat crop. The second visit is to a faba bean paddock which contains the AgVic Southern Pulse Agronomy and Alternate Legume Trial (McCormack Road, Yabba South).
Discussions on the day will include:
- Post emergent management in chickpeas, vetch and oat hay crop and faba beans
- Nutrition options in pulses – Stephen York SLTEC Fertiliser & Lee Menhenett Incitec Pivot
- AgVic Southern Pulse Agronomy and Alternate Legume Trial inspection and discussion– Michael Straight, FAR Australia
