The first meeting of the new Riverine Plains Irrigation Discussion Group will be held over breakfast on Friday 30 August, 2019, from 7:30-10:30am at our office at 4/97-103 Melbourne St, Mulwala.
The Irrigation Discussion Group is being formed as part of a project led by the Irrigated Cropping Council which aims to link new and innovative GRDC research investments with local farmer-driven groups to enable farmers to be more actively involved in the irrigated grains research process.
The irrigation discussion groups will meet four times each year to discuss agronomy and soil trials in the region and the implications of the research results at a local level.
Speakers at the first meeting will include Matthew Harrison, University of Tasmania and Michael Straight, FAR Australia.
